Meet Your Acupuncturist!
L.Ac., MAcOM, NCCAOM Board Certified in O.M.
Certified Cupping Therapist by International Cupping Therapy Association
Jackie is a Board-Certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist and licensed by the state of Louisiana's Medical Board. She graduated from AOMA School of Integrative Medicine where she completed over 3,000 hours of intense didactic and clinical training. After her internships at the VA Medical Center and the renown Chengdu University of TCM's affiliated Hospital in Chengdu, China, she was awarded her Masters of Oriental Medicine (MAcOM). She also completed additional training with the International Cupping Therapy Association.
Jackie regularly volunteers at Maypop Community Herb Shop, providing free ear acupuncture (NADA) treatments to interested members of the community. In fact, the Acu-Detox NADA training, which she completed in 2012 with Maypop, is what sparked her fascination and love for the medicine in the first place! She also can be found giving NADA treatments at the New Orleans Family Justice Center and loves working with the staff and clients at the FJC.
Jackie goes above and beyond for her patients. She feels honored to be able to share and practice the medicine she loves in the city she has called home since 2011. In her free time, she enjoys working in the garden or with her husband on their old house with their chatty cat, Rita. In early 2020, she became a mother to her son, Yuri, and has enjoyed rediscovering the world through his eyes ever since.
Jackie is constantly in awe of the often hidden (yet always strong) roots she finds entangled within New Orleans as a community and as a landscape.
I go regularly for cupping and acupuncture, and Jackie brings such light and energy to our sessions. She listens to my concerns and custom tailors each visit. I won’t go anywhere else for acupuncture!
